Thanks to Bob Webb and his vision for a skating rink in Valleywood we now have one in the park.  Bob was assisted greatly  after being frustrated with being told it could not happen. Allan Thompson, our Regional Councillor obtained permission for it to be on the parking lot and with a generous donation of materials to build it from Rona and the assistance of Adam Tassone of the VRA executive and Allan with his tractor the framework was completed.  Our Firefighters then took the hose to it with the blessings of Chief Bigrig and we now have a skating rink for all to enjoy.
      We need VOLUNTEERS to clean the surface, kids need hours for school so get on the phone and call Bob at  905-843-0944 and volunteer your time. 
       This rink is for everyone, so make use of it if you like to skate and show Bob your appreciation by using it fairly and responsibly.
